My Story
Rahma transformed her future in the United States leaping directly from an F-1 student visa to lawful permanent residency (Green Card holder) through the highly competitive EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW) pathway.
Her petition was entirely self-sponsored and self-petitioned demonstrating her independence, confidence, and the strength of her qualifications without relying on any employer support.
In doing so, she strategically bypassed the uncertainty and limitations that many international students face avoiding the constraints of Optional Practical Training (OPT), the intense competition and lottery system of the H-1B visa, and the dependency on employer sponsorship. Instead of navigating years of temporary status and uncertainty, Rahma chose a direct, merit-based path grounded in her long-term value and impact.
The EB-2 NIW is a powerful and selective immigration route designed for individuals of exceptional ability or advanced expertise. It allows applicants to bypass traditional employer sponsorship by demonstrating that their work delivers substantial value to the United States and serves the nation’s broader interests. Through a compelling, evidence-driven petition, Rahma proved that her contributions rise above the ordinary earning her the right to self-petition and secure her permanent residency on her own merit.
